Beating 14th seeded South Alabama 76-50, the 3rd seeded Florida Gators advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Longtime friends Billy Donovan and John Pelphrey coached against each other for the first time. Pelphrey and Donovan essentially grew up coaching together. Pelphrey was Donovan's right-hand man for eight years at Marshall and then Florida. Florida plays Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Saturday.
