Book recommendation

I have a book recommendation for you. It is called "Danny Wuerffel's Tales of Gator Football: Reflections of Faith and Football" It is written by former Florida Gator great, Danny Wuerffel. I've read it and it is very informative. It is available from Amazon.

CHRISTMAS (EXCHANGING GIFTS)

“Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT.” (11 Cor. 9:15)

“But we have this TREASURE in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of GOD, and not of us.” (11 Cor. 4:7)

“He that believeth on the Son of God (receives the GIFT) hath this witness in himself… and this IS the record (witness), that God hath given to us ETERNAL LIFE, and this LIFE is IN HIS SON. He that hath the SON hath LIFE, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not LIFE.” (1 John 5:10-12)

“What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is IN YOU, which ye have OF GOD, and YE ARE NOT YOUR OWN?” For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify GOD in your body, and in your spirit, which are GOD’S.” (1 Cor. 6:19-20)

What right have we to take what GOD bought and paid such a great price for, and use it for our self?

If our thankfulness and love for Him is what it should be, (considering ALL HE HAS GIVEN US), then with joy we surrender OUR ALL TO HIM as a vessel, or instrument for HIM TO USE; - NOT to use for Him, but to allow HIM, who is alive and well, and able, and wants to do His own work in and through us. (Gal. 2:20 Rom. 12:1-2)
(Otherwise, it’s like the little boy who gave his grandmother a football for a gift, and then took it to show her how to play with it!)

To know God is the greatest discovery. To know God’s will is the greatest wisdom. To willingly surrender to God’s will is the greatest accomplishment.

Pray for the wisdom to ask for, the patience to wait for, and the faith to accept God’s answer.

Today's recommendation is by Danny Wuerffel, the former QB from Florida. He won the Heisman Trophy in 1996. The name of the CD is "Heaven & Nature Sings: Christmas With Danny Wuerffel, Family & Friends". It is available from Walking Barefoot Ministries.

Recommendations

While I'm making recommendations for movies to watch during the Christmas Holidays I thought I would make a recommendation for something to listen to also. It is a CD by Sylvia Hutton, AKA Sylvia. It is called "A Cradle In Bethlehem" and is available from CD Baby.

of the Florida Gator Men's Baketball team. He just had the first triple double in school history. The team is off to their best start in school history too at 10-0.

Speaking of Christmas movies...

another one of the best is called "The Homecoming: A Christmas Story" starring Patricia Neal, Richard Thomas, and Edgar Bergan. It is set during the depression and is just a very good movie. It is available from Amazon.

Watched a Christmas movie...

yesterday. I think it was the greatest Christmas movie ever made. It was "Miracle on 34th Street". I'm talking about the original one from 1947 starring Maureen O'Hara, Edmund Gwenn, John Payne, and Natalie Wood as the little girl. It still holds up after all of these years. It is available from Amazon.

Ever watch CNN?

CNN has this great anchor that fills in on their prime time shows. Her name is Heidi Collins and she is fabulous. Try to catch her sometime.
